Mission & Priorities

Swedish Council of America supports and fosters cooperative relationships between all groups and individuals who promote knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Swedish heritage in American life and strengthens contemporary cultural and educational ties between North America and Sweden.

 Therefore, the Swedish Council of America focuses its support and services to its affiliated organizations with the following programs and activities:

• Communications: eUPDATE and Sweden & America magazine
• Grants
• Awards & Recognition

The strategic priorities of the Swedish Council are to:

• Strengthen the Swedish Council of America's partnerships with Swedish America and Sweden.
• Expand the Swedish Council of America's grants and recognition programs.
• Increase awareness of the Swedish Council of America.
• Establish a growing financial base.
