Nordic Study Circle - Gig Harbor, WA
The Nordic Study Circle is a Scandinavian community organization located in Gig Harbor, Washington, which arranges an annual lecture series on Scandinavian and Scandinavian-American topics to broaden awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of Scandinavian heritage, history, traditions and institutions.
The NSC recently finished its 2006-2007 lecture series. The theme of the series was Women in Northern History and Literature. Included in the series were a number of lectures on Swedish women. It was a very interesting and illuminating season.
Currently, the NSC Coordinating Committee is planning next season's program. Tentatively, the theme of the series will be Nordic America.
