Viking Circle

You can directly participate in preserving Swedish heritage throughout North America by joining the Viking Circle, the Swedish Council of America’s annual fund. With your generous support, the SCA can continue its leading role in ensuring that this heritage and culture remain alive to be claimed and cherished by the next generation of Swedish Americans.

The SCA relies entirely on funds contributed from the Viking Circle Annual Fund and the Royal Round Table. All contributors to the Viking Circle will receive our quarterly magazine, Sweden & America, and will be listed in the SCA annual report.

Contributions of any size are welcome.

Royal Round Table

The Royal Round Table was organized in 1981 and is a support group of the Swedish Council of America. As such, it plays a vital role in the promotion and growth of the SCA. Through annual membership dues, Royal Round Table members are partially funding the SCA’s effort to build public awareness not only of the Swedish heritage in America, but also of the many accomplishments Sweden brings to the international scene today.

Royal Round Table members and their spouses meet once a year either in Sweden or in the United States. They join together to hear presentations, listen to expert speakers, make corporate and governmental visits, and engage in direct exchanges and discussions, thus gaining a greater appreciation and understanding of the effects that both Sweden and the United States have on current political, economic, and social trends and developments.

To join or for more information about the Royal Round Table, contact our Minneapolis office.

Three Crowns Society

The Three Crowns Society is a special recognition category for persons who have included the Swedish Council of America in their estate plans. Individuals and couples who wish to make an estate gift to the SCA may do so by naming the SCA as a sole, or partial, beneficiary.

Donors are encouraged to make unrestricted gifts to the SCA. This allows the SCA Board to use the gift where the need is greatest. However, some donors may wish to restrict their gift to certain programs or purposes, including our endowment held in the SCA Foundation.

Persons who wish to make an estate gift to the SCA should consult their personal attorney to prepare the necessary document and to assure compliance with the laws of their state of legal residence. The SCA cannot, and will not, give legal advice.
